Anishinaa-Bakes

Anishinaa-Bakes is a now 1 year old home baking business. The Bannock Artisan came up with the name Anishinaa-Bakes with her mother as they thought it was too difficult to say bakery in Anishinaabe! The Bannock Artisan has been baking since the tender age of 12. In truth, baking became a passion in her youth as she had struggled with anxiety/depression but being creative with her baking and sharing that gift with family and friends made her feel happy. She attended culinary arts school and then University. After she lost her job at the end of pandemic from a month-long flu, she began doing markets & craft sales to get by. She had received wonderful compliments about the baking and a friend suggested that she start doing this as a business! It's become a joy to share her love of baking with everyone!
