Winnipeg has always been known for its music scene and DIY spirit. Everyone from Neil Young to Propagandhi, Banned From Atlantis to Mobina Galore have played in basements to bars. Clubs like the Pyramid and the Albert helped build a legendary scene and today those venues along with the Park theatre, the Goodwill Social Club, the Handsome Daughter among others continue to embody the DIY movement. These gigs were often small, but were filled with music, homemade fashions, zines sharing our thoughts and most importantly community.

Built on the love of music, community, DIY ethics, and art, punk rock flea markets have started popping up throughout North America. The Winnipeg Punk Rock Flea Market curates a selection of the best DIY makers in Winnipeg and throughout the province. It is a place to give like-minded artist, creators, vendors, movers and shakers of all kinds a place to showcase their creations and hopefully make a little extra money selling their wares. The WPRFM strives to create a safe, inclusive family friendly shopping environment that brings high quality goods to fans of weirdo art, vinyl records, vintage clothes, or collectors of strange and unusual things.
